    • Hotel Description

    Welcome to the newly renovated Clyde Hotel, in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon. Built in 1912, the Clyde is one of the few historic hotels in downtown Portland which retains its original layout and use as a hotel. The lobby has been restored to the original design, featuring beautiful mahogany panels, swing alcove doors, inlaid tiling and an overlooking mezzanine. Guest rooms have original doors and woodwork, Victorian clawfoot tubs and showers, and original tile. We offer turn of the century charm, friendly service, a great location and an excellent value.

    Driving Directions to the Hotel

    Starting Point  Portland International Airport: * Take the I-205 SOUTH ramp towards PORTLAND/SALEM(I-84) and merge onto I-205 going South. Stay in the right lane. * After about 2 miles take the exit 21B, I-84 WEST/US-30 WEST towards Portland and merge onto I-84 WEST. Stay in the center lane. * After about 5 miles you will see the downtown skyline, and the highway will fork. * Take the LEFT fork, I-5 SOUTH RAMP towards SALEM, but stay in the right lane after the fork left. * Almost immediately take the OMSI/CITY CENTER exit on your right. * Merge into the right lane and turn right onto SW Washington St., and cross the Morrison Bridge into downtown Portland. * Continue straight on SW Washington St. for 12 blocks. * Turn RIGHT onto SW 12th Avenue. * After one block, turn RIGHT onto SW Stark Street. * The Clyde Hotel will be on your right, on Stark Street between 10th and 11th Avenues. * There is a loading zone right in front of the hotel, and ample street and lot parking in the immediate area.

    Starting Point  Seatac International Airport (Seattle): * Start out going East on S 156th St. towards Air Cargo Rd. by turning left. (0.03 miles). * Turn right onto Air Cargop Rd. (0.34 miles). * Turn left onto S 160th St. (0.31 miles). * Turn left onto International Blvd/WA-99. (0.22 miles) * Take the WA-518 E ramp towards I-405/Renton/I-5. (0.23 miles). * Merge onto WA-518 E. (0.99 miles). * Take the I-5 S exit towards Tacoma. (0.22 miles). * Merge onto I-5 S. (159.25 miles). * Take the I-405 exit towards Beaverton/US-30 W/St. Helens/Ocean Beaches. (0.41 miles). * Merge onto I-405 S. (1.28 miles). * Take the Couch St. exit- exit number 2A- towards Burnside St. (0.20 miles). * Stay straight to go onto NW 15th Ave. (0.05 miles). * Turn left onto W Burnside St.. (0.12 miles). * Turn slight right onto SW Stark St. (0.14 miles).
